Getting started
I just signed up — what do I install?+
TandemHQ runs on iPhone, Android, and the web. Use the mobile app for logging flights and broadcasts (it auto-detects GPS and works offline); use the web dashboard for desktop work like monthly review and CSV export.
Download links and a 3-step onboarding live at /success after your first payment.
I'm a pilot AND an operator. Do I need two accounts?+
No. One account, one login. You toggle between Pilot and Operator views inside the app. Operators get a pilot account included — so you can still fly and log flights under your own name even while running the company.
Does TandemHQ work offline?+
Yes — flights, equipment, and roster sync in the background. Anything you tap mid-mountain queues up and uploads as soon as you're back in coverage.
Billing & subscription
How do I change plans?+
Open /account → "Manage subscription". You'll land in the Stripe customer portal — change plan, swap card, download invoices, or cancel from there.
How many plans are there?+
One for pilots and two for operators. The pilot plan is €7.99 a month or €79 a year and contains everything a pilot gets — logbook, earnings, invoicing, statistics, documents, and as many operators as you fly for. There is no cheaper cut-down version to compare it against.
Will the price I signed up at stay?+
Yes. Your price is fixed for as long as the subscription stays active — when we raise prices for new customers, yours does not move. If you used the FOUNDER code, its 25% discount lasts for the life of the subscription, not just the first year.
How do I cancel, and can I get a refund?+
Cancel any time from /account → "Manage subscription"; you keep read and export access to everything you logged. For a refund, email info@marakuja-tech.com — a real person reads it and comes back to you within a working day.
Is VAT included?+
Slovenian VAT (22 %) is added at checkout for non-business EU customers. Businesses with valid EU VAT IDs are reverse-charged (zero-rated) per Article 196 VAT Directive.
Calendar feed
Can I see my shifts in Google / Apple Calendar?+
Yes, as a subscription. Settings → Calendar feed gives you a private link: "Add to Apple Calendar" subscribes in one tap, and for Google you copy the link into Other calendars → From URL. Outlook takes the same link. Your calendar then refreshes it on its own — you never re-import.
Does it sync both ways?+
No — the feed is one-way, TandemHQ → your calendar. Shifts you are assigned show up there, but events you create in Google or Apple Calendar do not come back into TandemHQ. Two-way sync is not something we offer today.
How fast does it update, and what does it include?+
Your calendar decides how often it refreshes a subscription — typically a few hours, and not something any app can force. The feed carries your shifts from the last 60 days onward. A cancelled shift stays visible and marked cancelled rather than silently vanishing, so you do not turn up for something that was called off.
Someone has my link — how do I revoke it?+
Settings → Calendar feed → "Generate new link". Anyone holding the old link can see your shifts, so treat it like a password. Generating a new one kills the old link immediately, including on your own devices, so you will need to subscribe again everywhere you use it.
Why do my shifts appear twice?+
Almost always because the same link was subscribed twice in the same calendar app — easy to do if you tapped "Add to Apple Calendar" and also pasted the link by hand. Remove one of the two subscriptions in your calendar app; the duplicates go with it.
Invoicing
How do bank QR codes work on invoices?+
Every invoice includes a UPN QR code at the bottom. The payer scans it with their banking app and the payment details (IBAN, amount, reference) auto-fill. UPN is the Slovenian bank standard, so it works with every Slovenian app and many other EU ones.
Can I issue invoices in my company name (not personal)?+
Yes. Settings → Billing info → switch entity. Add the company's tax ID, IBAN, and address; new invoices issue under that entity. Old invoices stay attached to the entity they were issued under.
Annual tax export — what format?+
Settings → Export → "Annual report". Generates a single PDF (summary + per-flight detail) plus CSV for your accountant. The PDF includes the totals an accountant or tax office asks for.
Equipment
How does inspection-expiry alerting work?+
Add an inspection date when you log equipment. We alert you 30, 14, and 3 days before expiry — push + email + in-app banner. The banner doesn't dismiss until you log a new inspection.
Can my operator see my personal equipment?+
No. Pilot equipment is private by default. You can share with your operator via Equipment → "Share with operator" — that just shares the inspection-expiry status, not photos or notes.
Shift broadcasts
I'm a pilot — how do I claim a broadcast shift?+
When an operator broadcasts an open shift, you get a push notification. Tap → see the shift detail (site, time, weather, comp) → tap "Claim". First-come-first-served. The operator gets notified instantly.
I'm an operator — who sees my broadcasts?+
Pilots in your roster, plus pilots who've opted into your "extra pilot" network. You can scope broadcasts to roster-only if you want.
Data & privacy
Where is my data stored?+
EU (Frankfurt + Dublin). All Postgres on Supabase EU regions. Backups in EU. No data leaves EU jurisdiction. Full details in /privacy.
How do I export everything?+
Settings → Export → "Full export". You get a ZIP with all flights, equipment, invoices, and roster as CSV/JSON. Free, unlimited, no questions.
How do I delete my account?+
In the app: Settings → Delete Account. You type the word DELETE and it happens straight away — your logbook, earnings, equipment, documents, invoices and any company you own go with it. Export anything you want to keep first, because we cannot send it to you afterwards. Backups are wiped within 30 days. Operators you flew for keep their own record of those days, as they must for their accounts, but your name is removed from it.
